A smile makeover korea search usually starts with a photo, not a diagnosis. Someone saves an image they like and then tries to work out which treatment produced it.

A smile makeover korea search usually starts with a photo, not a diagnosis. Someone saves an image they like and then tries to work out which treatment produced it.
That order is backwards, and it is the reason so many plans get expensive later. The photo shows a result, but results come from several different procedures that are often combined.
In our clinic, roughly half of the international patients who ask about veneers turn out to need something else for at least part of the plan. Some need whitening first, a few need alignment before anything permanent.
This article explains how the pieces fit together, in what order they should happen, and what actually changes the price. No single procedure is the answer for everyone.

“Smile makeover” is not one procedure. It is a plan that may draw on four different tools, and most plans use two of them rather than all four.
The first tool is whitening, which changes colour only. It works on natural teeth and cannot change shape, spacing, or position.
The second is bonding, where composite is added directly to the tooth in a single visit. It is the least invasive option and also the shortest lived.
The third is veneers, thin ceramic shells bonded to the front of the tooth. These change colour, shape, and small position issues at the same time.
The fourth is orthodontics, which moves the teeth themselves. It takes months rather than days, but it is the only option that changes where a tooth actually sits.
| What you want to change | Usual tool | Time needed | Reversible? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Colour only | Whitening | 1 visit, repeated | Yes |
| Small chips or gaps | Bonding | 1 visit | Mostly |
| Shape, size, and colour together | Veneers | 1 day to 2 weeks | Depends on preparation |
| Tooth position | Orthodontics | 6 to 24 months | Yes |
| Worn or heavily restored teeth | Crowns | 1 day to 2 weeks | No |
Most of the regret we see is not about picking the wrong procedure. It is about doing the right procedures in the wrong sequence.
Think of it like painting a room. You do not choose the wall colour before deciding whether a wall is coming down.
The same logic applies here. Position comes first, then colour, then anything permanent.
If teeth need to move, that has to happen before veneers are made. Veneers built around crooked teeth have to be thicker in places, which means removing more enamel than necessary.
If only part of the smile is being treated, whitening comes before the ceramic is made. Ceramic does not respond to whitening gel, so lightening the untreated teeth afterwards leaves a mismatch.
Anything permanent goes last. Once enamel is removed it does not grow back, so we treat that step as the point of no return.

The honest answer is usually less than people expect. The number of teeth is set by how much shows when you smile, not by how many teeth you have.
Some people show six teeth when smiling and ten when laughing. Others show a full arch, and for them a partial plan is harder to blend.
We take photographs first and work backwards from what is visible. A patient who arrives asking for twenty veneers often leaves with a plan for eight.
The reverse happens too. Someone planning two front teeth may find that four gives a more even result, because the shade jump between two new teeth and their neighbours is what draws the eye.
For international patients the sequence question becomes a scheduling question. This is where photo consultation before travel does most of the work.
Send clear photos of your teeth and we can tell you which of the four tools your plan is likely to use. That determines whether you need one visit, two, or a longer arrangement.
Veneer-only plans can often be completed within a single stay. Our lab is in the building, so design, fabrication, and fitting happen without shipping anything out.
Plans that include alignment cannot be compressed the same way, because teeth move on their own timeline. In those cases we usually plan the movement remotely and schedule the ceramic work for a later visit.
We are near Nonhyeon Station in Gangnam, about an hour from Incheon Airport by airport bus or taxi. For the full one-day programme — technology, pricing, and booking — see our One-Day Veneers page.

Quotes vary widely, and the difference is rarely arbitrary. Four things account for most of the gap.
This is the obvious one. A plan combining whitening and four veneers costs less than one combining alignment and twelve.
Materials differ in strength and in how light passes through them. Higher grade ceramic holds translucency better, which is what makes a veneer read as a tooth.
This item almost never appears on a quote, and it should. We use the Ivoclar bonding system, which sits at the top of the price range for adhesives.
There are two reasons for that choice. It is highly biocompatible, and it resists staining, so the thin margin line where ceramic meets tooth keeps its colour for longer.
Two clinics can quote the same ceramic and produce very different results after three years. The adhesive is often the reason, so it is worth asking about directly.
One-day treatment is priced above the conventional route. Compressing diagnosis, design, fabrication, and fitting into a single day means the dentist and the in-house lab team work on your case together for that whole day.
More complex cases simply receive more design and adjustment time within that day. The rate is the same for international and Korean patients, with no foreign-patient surcharge.
Almost never. The plan is built around the teeth that show when you smile and laugh, which for most people is six to ten, and we work that out from photographs first.
Before, if any natural teeth will remain visible alongside the new ones. Whitening gel has no effect on ceramic, so whitening afterwards would lighten only the untreated teeth and create a mismatch.
Veneer and whitening plans usually can, especially with same-day fabrication in our own lab. Plans that include tooth movement cannot be compressed, because orthodontics depends on biological timing.
This article is general information and not a diagnosis. Enamel thickness, gum condition, and bite all affect what is suitable and how the result settles.
Temporary sensitivity, gum tenderness, chipping, or debonding can occur, and outcomes vary between individuals. Please have your own teeth assessed by a dentist in person before deciding on any plan.
After ten years of working on front teeth, the pattern I notice most is that people arrive with a procedure in mind and leave with a sequence in mind. The procedure was usually not the problem.
Enamel does not grow back, so we try to remove as little as possible and spend the saved time earlier in the process instead. That is why the first appointment is mostly photographs and questions.
If a smile makeover korea plan is what you are weighing up, send photographs before you book a flight. We can tell you what your plan would involve, and whether it fits the time you have.
