Veneers Korea vs Vietnam: The Quote Is So Low, What’s the Catch?

Veneers Korea vs Vietnam is a comparison many Australians, Southeast Asians and expats in Asia end up making. A clinic in Ho Chi Minh City or Hanoi quotes one figure, Seoul another, and the gap looks wide.
Then a quiet question arrives: “The quote is so low. What’s the catch?”
Often there is no catch at all. Careful dentists work in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, just as in Seoul. More often, two quotes use one word for two different things.
A note from Dr. Kim
I understand that unease, because a number that looks too good can make you doubt everything else.
“Why damage a tooth worth more than you can price? Blanche started from that question.” That is why Blanche no-prep veneers leave the tooth untouched, or remove under 0.1 mm.
Veneers Korea vs Vietnam: is a low quote a warning sign?
A low price is not a warning sign by itself. Costs differ from city to city, so fees differ too. However, it is a reason to read more slowly.
Think of two wristwatches that look identical in a shop window. One may have a different movement inside, a shorter life, and no service centre near your home.
Veneer quotes work the same way. So check three things: the treatment’s real name, its lifespan and who fixes it, and the evidence you can verify.
“Veneer” or “crown”? Read the label on the price list

Same smile, different tooth underneath
A veneer is a thin ceramic shell bonded to the front of a tooth. A crown is a cap over the whole tooth, so the tooth is trimmed on every side.
On a price list, the two can blur. Phrases like “porcelain teeth” or “veneer crowns” sometimes describe crowns. Usually that is loose wording, not a trick, and it happens everywhere.
So ask one plain question for every tooth: “Is this a veneer or a crown?” Our guide to veneers vs crowns for front teeth explains when each one fits.
Ask for the depth in millimetres
“Minimal” means little until it has a number. At Blanche, we do fully no-prep veneers, or minimal prep under 0.1 mm. Both cost the same, so we gain nothing by removing more.
How long should it last, and who fixes it later?

A quote tells you what you pay today, not what happens when something chips at home.
The expected lifespan
Veneers are not something you must replace every few years. With proper care and regular check-ups, they can last over 10 years, and 20–30 years or more, depending on care.
Who repairs it, and where
Our warranty runs 1, 5 or 10 years by tier. If a veneer comes off, keep it and bring it; if it is not broken, re-bonding may be possible.
If one needs redoing, we remove it with a laser. There is no extra shaving or removal fee, and a redo costs the same as new treatment. Our article on a veneer chipping after you fly home goes further.
Photo evidence you can actually verify
A photo only helps if you can tell what it shows.
What a useful photo looks like
- Close-ups showing where ceramic meets gum, not only a wide smile.
- Natural light and a straight angle.
- A clear label: veneers or crowns, and how many teeth.
A white smile from across the room says little about the tooth underneath. Our guide to what before-and-after photos can and cannot tell you explains why.
Veneers Korea vs Vietnam: two quotes, line by line

A low figure is fine; a missing line is what to ask about.
| Line on the quote | What a low figure may leave out | Ask for this in writing | How Blanche writes it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Treatment name | A crown listed under a veneer-style name | Veneer or crown, tooth by tooth | Veneers, listed tooth by tooth |
| Tooth reduction | Trimming that cannot be undone | Depth in millimetres | None, or under 0.1 mm, same price |
| Price unit | A package total with no per-tooth figure | Price per tooth and number of teeth | Per tooth, VAT excluded |
| Who makes the ceramic | An unnamed outside lab | The lab and the material | In-house Blanche Lab, Swiss ceramic |
| Expected lifespan | “They last a long time” | What the lifespan depends on | Over 10 years with care; 20–30+ depending on care |
| Who fixes it later | A repair that means another flight | Warranty years and redo cost | 1, 5 or 10 years; laser removal, no removal fee |
| Photo evidence | Wide smiles only | Close-ups labelled veneer or crown | We assess your own two photos first |
Here are our fees per tooth, VAT excluded:

“Would my teeth need a veneer, or something else?”
Send us just two photos: one of your face straight on, and one smiling. We will tell you whether no-prep looks realistic for your teeth, so you can compare both quotes on the same terms.
Planning a Seoul visit from Southeast Asia or Australia
The treatment day takes about 4–5 hours, or 5–6 with many teeth. We recommend one follow-up check, so plan 2–3 days in Seoul. We are a 30-second walk from Nonhyeon Station Exit 4 in Gangnam, about an hour from Incheon Airport.
For the full one-day program — technology, pricing, and booking — see our One-Day Veneers page.
Finally, send photos before booking flights. Then weighing veneers Korea vs Vietnam becomes a comparison of facts, not totals.

Frequently asked questions
Is a low quote a bad sign when comparing veneers Korea vs Vietnam?
Not by itself. Prices differ between cities for many reasons. Check whether each tooth is a veneer or a crown, and how many millimetres are removed. Then ask about warranty years and who fixes it later.
How long should veneers last before they need replacing?
Veneers are not something you must replace every few years. With proper care and regular check-ups they can last over 10 years, and 20–30 years or more depending on care.
Can I have veneers done in Seoul on a short trip?
Yes. Plan 2–3 days in Seoul: a treatment day of about 4–5 hours, plus one recommended follow-up check.
Side effects and individual differences
Temporary sensitivity, a foreign-body feeling, or mild gum swelling can occur. Results and longevity vary with each person’s teeth and habits.
When I teach other dentists, I ask them to picture each tooth twenty years on. Whichever city you choose, look for a dentist who plans that way, for a smile that still works twenty years from now.
How your first consultation works
1. We listen to your concerns and the smile you want.
2. Based on your exam, we explain every available option.
3. We give itemized costs and timelines. You are welcome to decide later, at home.
We repeat every explanation at least four times, and no decision depends on one person’s judgment alone.
