Straumann Implants Korea: Genuine BLX, Real Cost, and What to Ask
Most people who type “Straumann implants Korea” into Google already know which brand they want. What they don’t know is whether a clinic will actually give it to them.
That worry is fair. Once an implant is in your jaw, you never see it again. You may also fear the opposite trap: being talked into a famous name you never needed.
Below are the questions to ask any clinic, with our own answers.

Do Korean clinics use genuine Straumann implants?
Korea makes its own implants, such as Megagen, and clinics also use imported systems such as the Swiss brand Straumann. So the honest answer is simple: ask, in writing.
Also, a brand name on a price list is not a full product name. Straumann makes more than one implant line. At Blanche, our Straumann implant is the BLX line.
The paper trail to ask for
Implants usually come in packaging labelled with the brand, model, size and a lot number. Before surgery, ask any clinic you are considering to give you that brand and lot information in writing. Some people call this record an “implant passport.”
With it, any future dentist can see exactly what is in your jaw.
Straumann implants Korea cost: what KRW 2,300,000 covers
Our Straumann BLX fee is KRW 2,300,000 per implant. That includes the abutment, which connects the implant to the tooth, and a zirconia crown made in our in-house lab. The 3D CT is included as well.
So the number covers the whole tooth, and Korean and international patients pay the same. Extras are added only when needed: a bone graft is KRW 300,000 (simple) or KRW 500,000 (complex) per site, and sedation is KRW 400,000 per session.

Who has experience placing Straumann BLX?
Each implant system has its own tools and steps, so ask how often a clinic places the line it offers you.
Here is our answer. In 2024, Blanche placed more Straumann BLX implants than any other dental clinic in Gangnam.

Straumann implants Korea and follow-up after you fly home
An implant is a small system of fixture, screw, abutment and crown. If a screw loosens years later, a dentist needs parts for that exact system.
Think of it like a phone charger: a common plug is easy to find almost anywhere. Likewise, a brand distributed in many countries can be easier for a dentist near your home to service. Still, availability varies, so ask your home dentist first.

Planning your trips

Side effects and individual differences
Swelling, bruising, mild pain, or temporary numbness can occur after implant surgery, and healing time varies. Results and longevity depend on each person’s bone, gums, health, and habits.
When I teach other dentists, I tell them the brand is where the conversation starts, not where it ends. A genuine implant still needs a careful plan and good care at home, so that it gives you a smile that still works twenty years from now. And if one of your own teeth can still be saved, we will tell you that first.

3. We give itemized costs and a visit schedule. You are welcome to decide later, at home.
