Dental Implants Seoul: Who Operates, What It Costs, How Many Trips

Type “dental implants Seoul” into a search bar and you will find dozens of clinics, each with a price list and a smiling photo. From another country, they all look much the same. You can’t walk in, meet the surgeon, or see the equipment.
So the real question is rarely the price. It is this: which Seoul clinic can I actually trust with surgery, when I live thousands of kilometres away?
This page gives you the short version of how we work. Each section answers one decision, and our longer guides are linked where you need more detail.
A note from Dr. Kim
I know it takes courage to let a surgeon you have never met operate on you in a country you are only visiting.
“No decision depends on one person’s judgment alone.”
Dental implants Seoul: who actually performs your surgery
At Blanche, implant surgery is performed by two dentists: Dr. Kim Tae-hyung and Dr. Kim Ha-young. Both speak English. So you can ask your questions directly, without an interpreter in the middle.
In 2025, Dr. Kim Tae-hyung was named a grand-prize winner in Korea’s “Top 100 Doctors” (implant/veneer category). Overall, the clinic has four dentists.
Planning before surgery: 3D CT and digital guided surgery
Every implant plan starts with a 3D CT scan, and the scan is included in the implant price. It shows your bone in three dimensions.
Next, we plan the implant on screen and use digital guided surgery. Think of it like a sewing pattern: the cut follows a template prepared in advance.
The CT also shows whether you really need a bone graft. If you do, the fee is per site: KRW 300,000 for a simple graft and KRW 500,000 for a complex one.
Dental implants Seoul prices: one fee for the whole tooth

Each fee is per implant and includes the abutment and a zirconia crown, made in our in-house lab. So the price covers the whole tooth, not just the screw.
We offer three implant options:
- Megagen AnyOne (Korean manufacturer): KRW 1,000,000
- Megagen BlueDiamond (Korean manufacturer): KRW 1,500,000
- Straumann BLX (Swiss manufacturer): KRW 2,300,000
The same 2-year warranty applies to all three, and it covers the crown. Korean and international patients pay the same fees. A sinus lift, if needed, is extra.
Four visits, two trips, and no gap in your smile

Most international patients need four visits: surgery, stitches out a week later, a digital scan after 4–6 months of healing, and the crown a week after that.
If you can stay about a week each time, that means only two trips to Korea. Between trips, the implant bonds with your bone while you are at home.
For a front tooth, a same-day temporary tooth is possible, and it is included in the implant price. So you don’t fly home with a gap.
We are a 30-second walk from Nonhyeon Station Exit 4 in Gangnam, about an hour from Incheon Airport. The final plan needs our own 3D CT in Seoul, so send your X-ray first.
If you are anxious, or missing many teeth
Sedation
If surgery makes you tense, sedation is available for KRW 400,000 per session, not included in the implant price. A dentist administers and monitors it. You fast for 6 hours, we check an ECG, and all our staff are CPR-certified. Bring a companion if you can; you rest in the surgery room before leaving.
Full arch (All-on-X)
If most teeth in one jaw are missing or failing, a full-arch option uses 4–6 implants per jaw to hold a zirconia bridge. It is priced per jaw, and you can eat on the day of surgery.
It usually means 4–6 visits and two trips. Sedation is not included, and extractions are billed separately. Check-ups are every 3 months, when the bridge is unscrewed and cleaned.

Frequently asked questions
Dental implants Seoul: do the surgeons speak English?
Yes. Dr. Kim Tae-hyung and Dr. Kim Ha-young perform implant surgery at Blanche, and both speak English. You can ask them your questions directly during the consultation.
Is the crown included in the implant price?
Yes. Each implant fee includes the abutment, a zirconia crown and the 3D CT. A bone graft (per site), a sinus lift or sedation is added only when your case needs it or you ask for it.
What happens if I have a problem after I fly home?
The implant warranty is 2 years for all three brands, and it covers the crown. If a problem comes up after you return home, we help you get follow-up care in your own country.
Side effects and individual differences
Swelling, bruising, mild pain, or temporary numbness can occur after implant surgery, and healing time varies. Results and longevity depend on each person’s bone, gums, health, and habits.
When I teach other dentists, I tell them that a patient’s trust is earned before the surgery, through clear plans and honest answers. My goal is a smile that still works twenty years from now. And if one of your own teeth can still be saved, we will tell you that first.
How your first consultation works
1. We listen to your concerns and what you want to be able to eat and smile with again.
2. Based on your 3D CT and exam, we explain every available option, including whether a bone graft is really needed.
3. We give itemized costs and a visit schedule. You are welcome to decide later, at home.
We repeat every explanation at least four times, and no decision depends on one person’s judgment alone.
