Same Day Dental Implants Korea: What You Really Leave With on Day One

Same Day Dental Implants What Day One Really Means

Same day dental implants Korea is a phrase you will see in many clinic ads, often with very little detail.

If you searched it, you probably want two things: fewer trips, and no gap in your smile while you heal. You may also be wondering, quietly, “Am I being sold a fantasy?”

That is a healthy question. “Same day” can mean several different things, and the difference matters when you are flying in from abroad.

A note from Dr. Kim

I would rather give you an honest timeline today than a pleasant surprise that turns into a disappointment later.

“No decision depends on one person’s judgment alone.”

Same day dental implants Korea: what “same day” usually means

An implant is a small post placed in the jawbone. Over the following months, the bone bonds to it. Dentists call this osseointegration, and it cannot be rushed.

So when an ad says “same day”, it normally describes what you leave with on surgery day. That might be a temporary tooth, or full-arch teeth you can, in most cases, eat with. It should not mean your final crown is finished on day one.

Think of a building site. Scaffolding can go up on the first day, but nobody builds the walls until the concrete foundation has set.

So the useful question is not “Is it same day?” Instead, ask what you leave with, and when the final tooth comes.

Single teeth: front teeth and the rest

Front teeth: a same-day temporary tooth

For front teeth, a same-day temporary tooth is possible. That means you do not fly home with a gap in your smile.

The temporary tooth is included in the implant price. Our fees are KRW 800,000, KRW 1,000,000 or KRW 2,300,000 per implant, depending on the brand, including abutment and zirconia crown.

It is a temporary, though, not the final crown. It keeps your smile complete while the implant heals underneath. Our front tooth implant guide explains this stage in more detail.

Other single teeth: the standard two-trip plan

For other single teeth, the standard plan has 4 visits. First comes surgery, and the stitches come out about a week later.

Next, the implant heals at home for 4–6 months. Then we take a digital scan, and your zirconia crown is fitted about a week after that. Crowns are made in our in-house lab.

If you can stay about a week each time, that means only 2 trips to Korea. The same-day temporary tooth described above applies to front teeth, so ask us what to expect for your own case.

Full arch: eating on the day, final bridge later

Digital intraoral scanner

Full arch is where “teeth in a day” language comes from. In most cases, you can eat on the day of surgery, starting with soft foods.

Each jaw usually receives 4–6 implants. However, the final zirconia bridge is fitted later, generally within 2–6 months. Our Teeth in a Day guide walks through that period.

Full arch costs KRW 10,000,000 per jaw, over 4–6 visits and 2 trips. Tooth extractions are billed separately, and sedation is KRW 400,000 per session if you want it.

If you are replacing a denture, our comparison of dentures vs implants may help you decide.

Am I being sold a fantasy? Questions to ask any clinic

Full-arch implant bridge model

A fast timeline is not wrong in itself. The trouble starts when the words are vague. When you compare same day dental implants Korea offers, ask any clinic, including us:

  • Is the tooth I leave with on day one temporary or final?
  • When is the final crown or bridge fitted, and is it in the price?
  • How many visits and trips does my plan need?
  • What warranty applies, and what happens if a problem appears at home?

Our answers are simple. The implant warranty is 2 years, the same for all three brands, and it covers the crown. If a problem comes up after you return home, we help you get follow-up care in your own country.

Smoking, diabetes and gum disease can also affect healing. Tell us early, because they shape the timeline more than any slogan.

Which of these would apply to me?

Send us a recent X-ray if you have one, or just two photos: one of your face straight on, and one smiling. We will tell you what you could realistically leave with on day one, and how many trips your plan would need.

Planning your trip to Seoul

Send your X-ray on WhatsApp first, before you book flights. The final plan needs our own 3D CT in Seoul.

Blanche is a 30-second walk from Nonhyeon Station Exit 4, about an hour from Incheon Airport. Dr. Kim Tae-hyung and Dr. Kim Ha-young perform implant surgery, and both speak English.

Frequently asked questions

Are same day dental implants Korea patients ask about finished in one day?

No. A front tooth can get a same-day temporary tooth, and with full arch you can, in most cases, eat on the day. The final crown or zirconia bridge always comes later, after the bone has healed.

Is the same-day temporary front tooth included in the price?

Yes. It is included in the implant price of KRW 800,000–2,300,000 per implant, which also covers the abutment and zirconia crown.

Can I really eat on the day of full-arch surgery?

Generally, yes. In most cases you can eat on the day, starting with soft foods. The final zirconia bridge is fitted later, generally within 2–6 months.

Side effects and individual differences

Swelling, bruising, mild pain, or temporary numbness can occur after implant surgery, and healing time varies. Results and longevity depend on each person’s bone, gums, health, and habits.

When I teach other dentists, I tell them that a patient forgives a longer timeline far more easily than a broken promise. That is why I explain the slow parts as clearly as the fast ones. My aim is a smile that still works twenty years from now, built on your own teeth wherever they can be kept.

How your first consultation works

1. We listen to your concerns and what you want to be able to eat and smile with again.

2. Based on your 3D CT and exam, we explain every available option, including whether a bone graft is really needed.

3. We give itemized costs and a visit schedule. You are welcome to decide later, at home.

We repeat every explanation at least four times, and no decision depends on one person’s judgment alone.
