Online Dental Implant Consultation Korea: Will the Quote Change in the Chair?

An online dental implant consultation Korea clinics offer can save you a wasted trip. But only if you know its limits.
The worry behind it is simple. Will the WhatsApp number quietly grow once I’m in the chair?
That is a fair question. Here is an honest answer. It covers what an X-ray shows, what needs our 3D CT, and what may be added.
A note from Dr. Kim
I would rather tell you now what might be added than surprise you after a long flight.
“No decision depends on one person’s judgment alone.” That includes yours, so you can always decide later, at home.
Online dental implant consultation Korea: what an X-ray can show
A panoramic X-ray is a flat picture of your whole mouth. Even so, it tells us a great deal.
We can usually see which teeth are missing or failing. We also get a rough idea of bone height.
Two photos, face straight on and smiling, show how your teeth sit in your smile. They also show whether a front tooth is involved.
What only our 3D CT in Seoul can confirm
A flat X-ray cannot reliably show bone width, or exactly where the nerve and sinus sit. Yet those details decide whether a bone graft or sinus lift is needed.
That is why the final plan needs our own 3D CT in Seoul. The CT is included in the implant price.
Think of a builder quoting a renovation from photos. The photos show the rooms, but only lifting the floor shows the foundation. Your X-ray is the photo; our 3D CT is the look underneath.
| Question | From an X-ray or photos | With our 3D CT in Seoul |
|---|---|---|
| Which teeth are missing or failing | Usually visible | Confirmed |
| How many implants you may need | A first estimate | Final number |
| Bone width, nerve and sinus position | Not reliably | Measured |
| Bone graft or sinus lift | A possibility we can flag | Decided |
| Front teeth involved (same-day temporary possible) | Visible in photos | Planned |
Will the online dental implant consultation Korea quote change?

Part of it will not. Our per-implant fees are published, and each one includes the abutment and a zirconia crown.
Megagen AnyOne is KRW 1,000,000, Megagen BlueDiamond is KRW 1,500,000, and Straumann is KRW 2,300,000 per implant. Korean and international patients pay the same.
So the brand fee you see online is the same in the chair. What can change is how many implants you need, and what is added.
Items that may be added after the CT
| Item | When it may be needed | Fee |
|---|---|---|
| Bone graft, simple | Not enough bone at one spot | KRW 300,000 per site |
| Bone graft, complex | More bone needs rebuilding | KRW 500,000 per site |
| Sinus lift, crestal approach | Thin bone below the sinus | KRW 500,000 per tooth |
| Sinus lift, lateral approach | Thin bone below the sinus | KRW 2,000,000 per site |
| Sedation | If you feel anxious and choose it | KRW 400,000 per session |
| Tooth extraction | A failing tooth has to come out first | Itemized separately |
| Temporary removable denture | A wide back-tooth area is missing | Billed separately |
None of these is added by default. Each one is decided from your CT and exam, and you see it itemized before you agree to anything.
For a fuller breakdown, see our guide to what the implant price includes, and what can be added.
Why back teeth can change the plan

For front teeth, a same-day temporary tooth is possible, so you don’t fly home with a gap. It is included in the price.
Back teeth (molars) are different: no temporary tooth is placed after surgery. If a wide area is missing, we provide a temporary removable denture while the implants heal. It is billed separately.
Our article on molar implants in Korea explains the back-tooth plan, including the sinus.
How to send a good X-ray on WhatsApp

If your dentist at home took a panoramic X-ray or CT recently, ask for a digital copy. That is usually the clearest image for an online dental implant consultation Korea review.
Only have a printed film or a screen image? Photograph it straight on, in good light, without glare. Tell us when it was taken.
No X-ray? Two photos are enough to start. Add a short note on which teeth bother you and what you want to eat again.
“Could you tell me what might be added in my case?”
Send us a recent X-ray if you have one, or just two photos: one of your face straight on, and one smiling. We will tell you what we can already see, and which items only our 3D CT can confirm.
Planning trips after an online dental implant consultation Korea
International patients usually need 4 visits. Surgery comes first, then stitches out a week later. A digital scan follows 4–6 months later, then the crown about a week after.
If you can stay about a week each time, that means only 2 trips to Korea. Our guide to why four visits usually mean two trips shows the timing.
We are a 30-second walk from Nonhyeon Station Exit 4 in Gangnam, about an hour from Incheon Airport. Dr. Kim Tae-hyung and Dr. Kim Ha-young perform implant surgery, and both speak English.
We are usually closed on Seollal and Chuseok, so ask before booking.
Your implant has a 2-year warranty that covers the crown. If a problem comes up after you return home, we help you get follow-up care in your own country.

Frequently asked questions
Is an online dental implant consultation Korea quote final?
No. It is a first estimate. The per-implant fee for each brand is published, but grafts, sinus lifts, sedation, extractions or a temporary denture are decided only after our 3D CT in Seoul.
What if I don’t have an X-ray?
Send two photos: your face straight on, and smiling. We can explain the likely options and what our 3D CT will need to confirm.
Do I have to decide right after the consultation?
No. We repeat every explanation at least four times, and you are welcome to decide later, at home.
Side effects and individual differences
Swelling, bruising, mild pain, or temporary numbness can occur after implant surgery, and healing time varies. Results and longevity depend on each person’s bone, gums, health, and habits.
When I teach other dentists, I remind them that a patient should never be the last to hear about a cost. We keep your own teeth whenever we can, and plan every implant for a smile that still works twenty years from now.
How your first consultation works
1. We listen to your concerns and what you want to be able to eat and smile with again.
2. Based on your 3D CT and exam, we explain every available option, including whether a bone graft is really needed.
3. We give itemized costs and a visit schedule. You are welcome to decide later, at home.
We repeat every explanation at least four times, and no decision depends on one person’s judgment alone.
