Dental Implants Korea Cost: What the Price Includes, and What Can Be Added

Dental Implants Korea Cost What the Price Includes

Dental implants Korea cost is usually the first thing people check, and the ads answer fast: “implant from $X.” Then a second thought arrives. What if the abutment, the crown, the CT scan, and a bone graft all get added later?

That worry is fair. So the real question is not “how low is the price?” It is “will the final bill be double the ad?”

Here is what our fees already include, and the few things that can add a line.

A note from Dr. Kim

I would rather you see the whole bill before you fly than meet a surprise at the front desk.

“Minimal intervention, maximum beauty.” For your budget, that means we add a procedure only when your scan shows it is needed.

Dental implants Korea cost: the three published fees

We publish one price per implant. It includes the implant, the abutment, and a zirconia crown: the post in the bone, the connector on top, and the tooth you see.

Implant brandMade inPer implant (abutment and zirconia crown included)
Megagen AnyOneKoreaKRW 800,000
Megagen BlueDiamondKoreaKRW 1,000,000
StraumannSwitzerlandKRW 2,300,000

The price is the same for Korean and international patients. There is no foreigner surcharge.

We quote in Korean won on purpose. Exchange rates move daily, so please check today’s rate rather than trust a converted number in an old article.

What is included, and what may be added

Reviewing an itemized dental estimate

Three items are always inside the fee. Only two kinds of procedure can add a line, and only when the 3D CT shows they are needed.

Why a bone graft or sinus lift is sometimes needed

Consultation with a dentist at Blanche

An implant needs enough bone around it, much like a fence post needs solid ground. In shallow soil, it wobbles. So when bone has thinned after a tooth was lost, we may need to rebuild it first.

A bone graft adds bone where the ridge is too thin or too low.

In the upper back jaw, the sinus sits just above the roots. When the bone under it is too short, a sinus lift gently raises the sinus floor to make room. The crestal approach works through the implant site; the lateral approach works from the side.

Bone loss is more likely after a long gap or gum disease. Still, no ad and no photo can tell whether you need either. Only the 3D CT shows it.

We also try to avoid grafts that are not truly needed. Read how in when a bone graft can be avoided.

Example totals for one, two and three implants

These are examples only, before any diagnosis. They are simple multiplication of the published fee, with no bone graft and no sinus lift.

Example (no add-ons)Megagen AnyOneMegagen BlueDiamondStraumann
1 implantKRW 800,000KRW 1,000,000KRW 2,300,000
2 implantsKRW 1,600,000KRW 2,000,000KRW 4,600,000
3 implantsKRW 2,400,000KRW 3,000,000KRW 6,900,000

Your real total may differ if one site needs a graft or an upper back tooth needs a sinus lift. If so, that line appears on your itemized estimate, and we explain why before anything begins. That is the honest shape of dental implants Korea cost: a fixed fee, plus only what your scan shows.

How to compare the dental implants Korea cost by brand

Full-arch implant bridge model

Megagen is a Korean implant manufacturer, and Straumann is a Swiss manufacturer. Price is the other clear difference.

In 2024, Blanche placed more Straumann implants than any other dental clinic in Gangnam. Even so, the brand is your choice. A few questions worth asking:

  • Which brand does my dentist at home already work with?
  • Does my bone or bite make one option more suitable?

Whichever brand you choose, the implant warranty is two years. If a problem comes up after you return home, we help you get follow-up care in your own country.

“Will my bill look like the example, or will something be added?”

Send us a recent X-ray if you have one, or just two photos: one of your face straight on, and one smiling. We’ll tell you which brands fit and whether a graft or sinus lift looks likely, before you book anything.

Planning your trips and your budget

Most international patients need four visits. If you can stay about a week each time, that means only two trips to Korea. Here is how the two trips work, day by day.

Travel is the other part of your dental implants Korea cost. Plan flights and a hotel twice, not four times.

We are a 30-second walk from Nonhyeon Station Exit 4 in Gangnam, about an hour from Incheon Airport. Before you fly, send your X-ray first. The final plan needs our own 3D CT in Seoul, but an early look tells you what to expect.

Frequently asked questions

Is the dental implants Korea cost the same for foreigners?

Yes. Pricing is the same for Korean and international patients, with no foreigner surcharge. Each implant is KRW 800,000 (Megagen AnyOne), KRW 1,000,000 (Megagen BlueDiamond) or KRW 2,300,000 (Straumann), including the abutment and zirconia crown.

Will I definitely need a bone graft?

Not necessarily. A bone graft is added only if your 3D CT shows it is needed. A simple graft is KRW 300,000 and a complex graft is KRW 500,000.

Why are your implant fees listed in Korean won?

Our fees are published in Korean won, and exchange rates change daily. Please check today’s rate when you compare.

Side effects and individual differences

Swelling, bruising, mild pain, or temporary numbness can occur after implant surgery, and healing time varies. Results and longevity depend on each person’s bone, gums, health, and habits.

When I teach other dentists, I say what I will say to you. Keep your own teeth whenever you can. When you cannot, build a replacement that lasts, with a clear bill. That is how you get a smile that still works twenty years from now.

How your first consultation works

1. We listen to your concerns and what you want to be able to eat and smile with again.

2. Based on your 3D CT and exam, we explain every available option, including whether a bone graft is really needed.

3. We give itemized costs and a visit schedule. You are welcome to decide later, at home.

We repeat every explanation at least four times, and no decision depends on one person’s judgment alone.
