Dental Implants Korea vs Turkey: What to Verify in Any Implant Package

Dental Implants Korea vs Turkey What to Verify

If you are weighing dental implants Korea vs Turkey, you have probably seen packages with the implants, hotel and airport transfers bundled together.

Those packages can look very affordable. So a quiet question follows: what am I missing, and which implant goes into my jaw?

I will not run down another country’s dentists. Skilled implant dentists work in Turkey, in Korea and elsewhere. Here are the questions worth asking any clinic, with our answers beside them.

A note from Dr. Kim

I understand how hard it is to judge a clinic from a package page, thousands of kilometres away.

“A smile that still works twenty years from now.” That is why the questions below matter more than the headline price.

Dental implants Korea vs Turkey: compare the system, not the country

Think of it like buying a used car. Two cars can carry the same price and very different engines. With implants, looking under the bonnet means reading the written plan.

So whichever clinic you consider, ask the same questions.

Which implant, exactly? Brand and line in writing

Reviewing X-rays during consultation

“Implant” is not one product. Each manufacturer makes several lines, and any dentist who treats you later needs to know your system.

So ask for the brand and line in writing. Ours are named in every plan:

  • Megagen AnyOne: KRW 800,000 per implant
  • Megagen BlueDiamond: KRW 1,000,000 per implant
  • Straumann BLX: KRW 2,300,000 per implant

Each price includes the abutment and a zirconia crown. Megagen is Korean, and Straumann is Swiss.

In 2024, Blanche placed more Straumann BLX implants than any other dental clinic in Gangnam. Our comparison of Straumann and Korean implants explains how to choose.

Who places them

Next, ask who does the surgery. At Blanche, that is Dr. Kim Tae-hyung or Dr. Kim Ha-young, both English-speaking.

Scans, planning and the time before final teeth

A 3D CT shows your bone, nerves and sinuses, and digital guided surgery carries that plan into the operation. We use both, and the 3D CT is included in the implant price.

Next, ask when your final crown goes in, and why then. Bone needs time to bond with an implant, a process called osseointegration.

Our schedule for international patients is usually four visits: surgery, stitches out a week later, a digital scan after 4–6 months, and the crown a week after that. If you can stay about a week each time, that means two trips.

For front teeth, a same-day temporary tooth is possible and included, so you do not fly home with a gap.

Do foreign patients pay more?Surcharges hide in totalsNo; same pricing for Korean and international patients

All-inclusive packages look so affordable — what am I missing?

Often, nothing is wrong at all. However, “all-inclusive” can mean different things, so ask what it covers:

  • Every implant, abutment and final crown?
  • Bone grafts, sinus lifts and extractions, or are they added after the CT?
  • Sedation?
  • Travel and hotel for every trip the treatment needs?

For comparison, a sinus lift is KRW 500,000 per tooth (crestal) or KRW 2,000,000 per site (lateral). Sedation is never inside the implant price.

Now the honest trade-off in dental implants Korea vs Turkey. From Europe, Turkey is usually a shorter, less tiring flight. If the answers there are clear and written down, that convenience is a fair reason to choose it.

“Which implant would you actually suggest for me?”

Send us a recent X-ray if you have one, or just two photos: one of your face straight on, and one smiling. We will tell you which options look realistic and whether a graft may come up.

Follow-up after you fly home

Treatment room at Blanche

Wherever you are treated, the clinic will be a flight away afterwards, so plan for it before you book.

Our implant warranty is 2 years, the same for all three brands, and it covers the crown. If a problem comes up after you return home, we help you get follow-up care in your own country. See our guide to implant warranty after flying home.

Weighing a US quote too? See how to compare it line by line.

If Seoul is on your list, we are a 30-second walk from Nonhyeon Station Exit 4 in Gangnam, about an hour from Incheon Airport. Send your X-ray first; the final plan needs our own 3D CT in Seoul.

Frequently asked questions

What should I compare for dental implants Korea vs Turkey?

Compare the implant brand and line in writing, who places it, 3D CT and guided surgery, the healing time before final teeth, what is billed separately, and the warranty and follow-up after you fly home.

How long before I get my final implant crown at Blanche?

The final zirconia crown is fitted after 4–6 months of healing. That is usually four visits, or two trips if you can stay about a week each time.

Are bone grafts and sedation included in your implant price?

No. Bone grafts are KRW 300,000 or 500,000 per site, only if needed, and sedation is KRW 400,000 per session. The 3D CT, abutment and zirconia crown are included.

Side effects and individual differences

Swelling, bruising, mild pain, or temporary numbness can occur after implant surgery, and healing time varies. Results and longevity depend on each person’s bone, gums, health, and habits.

When I teach other dentists, I remind them that a patient from abroad cannot simply drop in next week. That is why we plan carefully, keep your own teeth whenever we can, and aim for a smile that still works twenty years from now.

How your first consultation works

1. We listen to your concerns and what you want to be able to eat and smile with again.

2. Based on your 3D CT and exam, we explain every available option, including whether a bone graft is really needed.

3. We give itemized costs and a visit schedule. You are welcome to decide later, at home.

We repeat every explanation at least four times, and no decision depends on one person’s judgment alone.
