Invisalign and Veneers Korea: Aligners First, Veneers Only, or Both?

If you are searching for Invisalign and veneers Korea, your teeth probably have two problems at once. Some are crooked, and some are small or discolored.
So you wonder what to do during your time in Korea: clear aligners first, veneers only, or both. Underneath sits a sharper worry: “Will I end up shaving teeth that could have been straightened?”
That worry is healthy. In short, the order matters more than the treatments themselves, and the order depends on how crowded your teeth are.
A note from Dr. Kim
I understand that fear, because enamel removed for the wrong reason never grows back.
“Why damage a tooth worth more than you can price? Blanche started from that question.” It is why Blanche no-prep veneers always come with an honest answer about orthodontics.
Invisalign and veneers in Korea: why the order matters
Veneers change the color, size and shape of teeth. Aligners change where the teeth sit. They solve different problems, so one cannot fully stand in for the other.
Think of a bookshelf with a few books leaning sideways. You could glue new covers on at an angle to make the row look even. However, it is far simpler to stand the books up first, then add the covers.
Teeth work the same way. If crowding is significant, we may suggest orthodontics first to preserve tooth structure. Once the teeth are in line, the veneers have less to correct.
Our article Veneers or Braces? explains how to tell which one your case needs.
Aligners first, veneers only, or both: how we decide

When we plan Invisalign and veneers Korea cases, no two mouths are the same. So treat this table as a starting point, not a diagnosis.
| Your situation | Likely path | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Teeth mostly straight, but small or gapped | Veneers only | Small or gapped teeth usually suit no-prep veneers |
| Teeth mostly straight, but discolored | Veneers only | Very dark discoloration may need minimal prep under 0.1 mm |
| One or two teeth sitting slightly forward | Veneers only, or aligners first; decided at the exam | Forward teeth may need minimal prep; the exam shows which path keeps more tooth |
| Significant crowding, plus small or discolored teeth | Both: aligners first, veneers after | Straightening first preserves tooth structure |
| Significant crowding, but you like the size and color | Aligners first; veneers may not be needed | Veneers change shape and color, not position |
| Gum inflammation, cavities or heavy grinding | Treat these first | Veneers need a healthy base |
Who makes the call
We have an orthodontic specialist on staff, Dr. Baek Ju-hee, with 22 years in orthodontics. So the veneer side and the orthodontic side of your case are reviewed together, not by one person alone.
Will veneers mean shaving teeth that could be straightened?

Not here. We do only fully no-prep veneers, or minimal prep under 0.1 mm. Both cost the same, so there is no price reason to remove more. Usually there is no anesthesia and no temporaries.
That limit is exactly why crowding matters. With significant crowding, making the row look straight with veneers alone would mean working against where the teeth sit. So we may suggest straightening first, to preserve tooth structure.
This is not about time, though. There is no case that cannot be done in one day. Orthodontics comes first only to keep more of your natural tooth.
If size is your main concern, read what makes teeth look small, and what actually helps.
Planning your time in Korea for each path
Veneers only
With our one-day option, the treatment day takes 4–5 hours, or 5–6 hours for many teeth. You can go out while Blanche Lab, our in-house lab, works. We recommend one follow-up check afterwards, so plan 2–3 days in Seoul.
For the full one-day program — technology, pricing, and booking — see our One-Day Veneers page.
Aligners first, or both
Here I have to be honest about Invisalign and veneers Korea timing. The orthodontic plan, including cost, length and visits, is set after an exam. We will not guess those details from photos.
The veneer stage comes at the end, once the teeth are in position. It follows the same veneer pricing and can be done in one day. If you have had braces before, our guide to veneers after braces shows what veneers can still refine.
We are a 30-second walk from Nonhyeon Station Exit 4 in Gangnam, about an hour from Incheon Airport.
“Are my teeth crowded enough to need aligners first?”
Send us just two photos: one of your face straight on, and one smiling. We will tell you whether veneers alone look realistic, or whether an orthodontic exam is the better first step.
Invisalign and veneers Korea costs: what we can quote now

Veneer prices per tooth, VAT excluded: BASIC KRW 650,000 with a 1-year warranty, PLATINUM KRW 850,000 with 5 years, and Signature PLATINUM KRW 1,500,000 with 10 years. The one-day option adds KRW 200,000 per tooth.
Signature PLATINUM includes gum contouring and other supporting treatments, with me in charge. Korean and international patients pay the same.
For orthodontics, however, we give no figure before your exam. After it, you receive itemized costs and timelines for every stage, and you can decide at home.
Bonding matters at the veneer stage too. We use the Ivoclar adhesive system, which is biocompatible and resists edge discoloration. With proper care and regular check-ups, veneers can last over 10 years, and 20–30 years or more, depending on care.

Frequently asked questions
Invisalign and veneers Korea: which should come first?
It depends on crowding. If crowding is significant, we may suggest aligners first to preserve tooth structure. If your teeth are mostly straight, veneers alone may be enough.
Will you shave my teeth to hide crowding?
No. We do only fully no-prep veneers or minimal prep under 0.1 mm. If crowding is significant, we may suggest orthodontics first rather than removing more tooth.
How much does the orthodontic part cost, and how long does it take?
We do not quote that from photos. The orthodontic plan, including cost and timing, is set after an orthodontic exam.
Side effects and individual differences
Temporary sensitivity, a foreign-body feeling, or mild gum swelling can occur. Results and longevity vary with each person’s teeth and habits.
When I teach dentists, I tell them the right veneer is sometimes the one you wait for until the teeth are straight. Patience now keeps more enamel, for a smile that still works twenty years from now.
